Capture Card FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

DX20R

Why does my capture card show “No Signal”?

This means the capture card is not detecting a valid input.

Please check:

  1. Is the source device powered on and outputting video?
  2. Is the input cable properly connected?
  3. Did the source resolution or format change?

If the signal source was turned off or changed, re-activate (unplug/replug) the capture device in your recording software to restore display.

What does “Unsupported Resolution” mean?

The input resolution from your source device does not match the supported resolution of the capture card or your recording software.

This capture card supports resolutions up to 4K 60Hz input.

To fix this:

  1. Set the source device to a supported resolution (e.g., 4K 60Hz, 1080p60, or 720p).
  2. Make sure the capture software is configured to the same resolution or lower.
  3. Confirm your display/monitor also supports the selected resolution.
Why does it say “Content Protected by HDCP”?

The source device is outputting HDCP-encrypted video, which cannot be recorded or captured.
To resolve this:

  • Disable HDCP in the source device settings (e.g., game console or streaming device).
  • Use non-HDCP content sources.

Please note: The capture card cannot bypass HDCP protection.
